Picture day is coming!
I’m so excited to photograph your sweet kiddos this year. Preschool is such a special season. They’re still little, but growing into their personalities more every day. The smiles are bigger, the confidence is starting to show, and there’s just so much sweetness in this age.
My goal for picture day is simple: capture your child in a way that feels real and timeless.
What to expect
Picture day will feel a lot like a mini session. It’s quick, relaxed, and designed to keep things fun and comfortable for your child.
I’ll gently guide them through a few different poses, including a full-body portrait and a close-up shot. If your child is graduating to Kindergarten next year, we’ll also take a cap and gown photo to celebrate this big milestone.
Below you’ll find examples of what the full-body and close-up images will look like. Please note that the desk setup will vary slightly.
Ordering & collections
Step 1: Receive Your Gallery
Within two weeks of picture day, you’ll receive an email letting you know your child’s proof gallery is ready. The gallery will be delivered through Pixieset.
Step 2: View Your Proofs
Your images will appear with a watermark and at a lower quality. You’ll still be able to clearly see each photo and choose your favorites.
Step 3: Choose Your Collection
You’ll be able to select from:
• Print-Only Collections
• Print + Digital Collections
• À la carte prints
• A Full Digital Gallery option
All prints are produced through a professional photo lab for beautiful, true-to-life color and quality you’ll be proud to frame. Full Collection pricing is listed below so you can plan ahead.
All collection purchases also include a $50 credit toward a future full photography session.
EARLY PURCHASE OPTION
If you’d like to preorder your child’s collection, you’re welcome to do so.
After submitting the form, you’ll receive an invoice to complete your preorder. Once your gallery is ready, you’ll be able to view your images and finalize your order.
As a small thank you, early purchases receive priority editing, so your gallery will be delivered sooner.

frequently asked questions
How long will picture day take?
Each child’s individual portrait session will take about 5 minutes. It’s short and relaxed so it feels fun, not overwhelming.
We will also take a class group photo, which will take about 10 minutes. This may happen at the beginning or end of your child’s class time slot depending on how the day flows.
What if my child is absent on picture day?
Because of the setup involved, there are no scheduled make-up days.
If your child is unable to attend and you would still like portraits taken, I’m happy to offer a separate mini session recreating the picture day setup for a $100 session fee.
Do prints come with the digital files?
Digital files are included only in Collections that specifically list digital images. If you purchase prints only, the selected image will be professionally printed and delivered, but the digital file is not included.
What if my child doesn’t smile?
That’s completely okay. Preschoolers are unpredictable, and that’s part of the charm. I’ll gently guide them and do my best to capture a natural expression
